Impressionism found its beginning in France in the 1800s. This is similar to taking candid photographs of subjects but painted or depicted on canvass. It deals with people in motion captured at a certain moment as in slow motion.

Nouveau art (New Art) takes off from natural forms like leaves and flowers.

A wall art expert should detect inner beauty in places where ordinary people see only dowdiness. This gift can be particularly useful when it comes to evaluating wall art displays. Decorative and custom details mean a lot. They can complete or transform a wall or room from being ordinary to extraordinary.

Art pieces like these should be chosen for their elegant and stylish designs. Make sure that they fit your exact specifications, style, size and lifestyle. Enable yourself to select colors and hues adaptable to your home decor.

Together with proper furniture arrangements and well chosen wall decorations, your rooms will become more comfortable, flexible and inviting. These wall pieces can create new and emotive experiences for the homeowner and friends alike.

Discover how easy it is to get your hands on objects of your desire. Surround yourself with artistic pieces that will inspire you. Things that speak not only of who you are, but who you have become. Original artwork costs a fortune but do not despair. There are quality replicas available in the market for the budget-conscious homeowner.

If undecided on what to choose, it is not a sin to ask for advice from the experts. Consider their suggestions, try things for yourself, and do not be nervous about being creative. There is more than one beautiful way to place your wall art sculpture.

One valuable rule to remember – play safe. Classics are preferred, evoking style and tasteful elegance. The art pieces you choose for your home are a huge decision. And demand just as much, if not more thought than anything else you place in your home. They may be with you for life, so make sure that you choose the best.

Using Canvas Wall Art to Give You Options and Save Money

September 29th, 2009

When I decide to redecorate a room in my home, I start looking through magazines trying to find the style I want. I usually know what I’m looking for, its just finding a way of putting it together to make it look…well…put together.

As we have talked about before, wall art is a huge part of decorating your home. The fantastic thing about deciding to use a canvas wall art piece is that you are able to find most prints online at a great price. Most canvas art is a copy of the original picture. This allows the artist to keep his or her original painting while selling multiple copies of their art. Because it is a copy, your price will be more affordable since they are unable to charge you they are unable to charge you the price of an original.

Canvas wall art also comes in so many different sizes and styles. You are able to buy a canvas print in almost any size according to your decorating desires. If you are looking for something that covers more space but can’t be too large, you may decide on a three or four piece canvas wall art. This allows you to cover more of the wall space without making the art seem too overwhelming.

One of the most popular styles of canvas wall art is abstract art. You won’t find many Monet art pieces cut into three pieces. The beauty of buying abstract art on canvas is that separating most pieces will add to the distinctness of the art rather than take away from it.

Many times canvas wall art will be used to show a progression in the artist’s mind. For example, an art piece showing the progression of a flower may have one canvas showing the bulb of the flower, the next one the flower growing taller, the leaves falling out, the third might show the bud or the bloom of the flower.

Using canvas wall art may be the most simple solution to your decorating dilemma. You can find so many canvas prints online. Knowing the style you want or at least having a direction of where you are going in your decorating can only help you when looking for canvas wall art online.

Early in your search for your perfect art piece, keep in mind the size of your room. If your space is small, a larger piece will make it look smaller, possibly claustrophobic. If you have a large space and you get a piece that is too small, it will look and feel awkward, leaving you will more empty wall space than necessary. Try to get a general idea of the size of the picture you want. It may also be a good idea to go to an art store to find the size you would like, this would make it easier for you when you are searching for the right size.

Contemporary Wall Art – Create a Fabulous Foyer

September 28th, 2009

A home should stand up to greet you and your guests, and a foyer sets the decorative tone for the entire home, giving you a chance to create a fabulous first impression. If your decorative preference leans toward sleek modern style, choose interpretive contemporary works of art to create a highly personalized statement in the foyer. It doesn’t matter is your home includes a grand foyer or a moderately scaled entry, contemporary wall art comes in a wide array of sizes, genres and price ranges making it versatile enough for any entry space. Whether used alone or combined with other elements, contemporary wall art will provide a bold splash of color and style that speaks volumes about you, your home and your personal good taste.

Create a Focal Wall

Consider the wall that guests see first when entering the home; this is your focal wall and it should be a reflection of your unique sense of style. Whether the space is large or small, the vertical space opposite the entry can be stylishly decorated with contemporary canvas or metal wall art in vivid colors and bold designs. Because contemporary art is interpretive and abstract it can be displayed horizontally or vertically, whichever best suites the space. In larger spaces, two or three frameless contemporary canvas panels can be used to create a focal point, or metal wall art can be used on its own or in conjunction with canvas art. In a smaller space, fewer pieces or one appropriately sized piece may provide the main focus in the foyer. Consider painting the wall in a hue that complements the art and makes it stand out.

Add Depth and Dimension Realistic Tabletop Pieces

Bring multi-dimensional impact to the foyer by adding a contemporary work of tabletop art to the mix. Choose a piece of table top art of an appropriate size that expresses your style. Let the mood and style of the canvas or metal wall art inspire your choice of tabletop art so that the combination of elements expresses an interpretation that is meaningful to you. Display it on a small console table in front of the contemporary painting or metal wall art. If space is at a premium, display tabletop art on a pedestal or a contemporary wall shelf. Combining sculpture or table top art with wall art is a highly personal way to express your style since your interpretation is what guides the way you combine decorative elements.

Shop Online for the Best Selection

To make your home truly unique, avoid mass produced art that is typically available in discount stores and retail chains; such pieces rarely possess the impact of original art. Choose only high-quality hand-painted contemporary works of art to make a unique and lasting impression. You’ll find works of art with extraordinary quality from online sources. Online sources also offer the most extensive selection at a variety of prices, and you can shop for the comfort of your home any time of the day or night.
