Framed Wall Art – Preserve in Wood or Metal

November 26th, 2009

Framed wall art is where the poster or painting has been put in a nice frame so that it can be hung on the walls. These are a common sight in most homes and offices, the only difference would be the content of the framed wall art. Some might prefer having motivational quotes or pictures, while others would enjoy having a picture of their loved ones or of a personality they admire or look up to. These posters can make a whole lot of difference to the ambiance of the room, adding class and reflecting the personality of the home owners or the office holder. Posters are basically paper based prints of people or objects that are designed so they can be fixed on the wall or any vertical platform. There are some people who display pictures taken with famous celebrities on their walls to show off their accomplishments. This adds value when a prospective client or customer walks into the room.

In case of professionals, they might at times have their degree and other accolades framed and on the wall. In a dentists office for example, we might find wall art of his degree, certificate obtained for extraordinary achievements and others given by prestigious organizations. All this gives the person visiting him a reassurance of his qualifications and ability to treat them. In a home however they are likely to have pictures or portraits of family members or special occasions. Or of people they care about but who have passed away, these are a way of remembering them and keeping them as part of daily lives. Pictures by themselves need a way to be displayed, so people pick up pretty photo frames to put them in and place them in places where they will notice them. Some have bedside tables filled with pictures of their children or parents, or they could have a collection of framed pictures on the mantle.

Children and men who enjoy sports have been known to have pictures and posters of their favorite sports players or of a particular incident that appeared in the papers. And if a member of the family was recognized and given an award or prize, those pictures would also be framed and put up on the walls. An art enthusiast might have wall art of famous paintings, some could be original while others would be replicated versions of the same. Some vintage posters would also find their place amongst the other valuable framed wall art pieces. Similarly, for movie lovers, they are likely to collect classic posters, and to preserve them will frame them and put them up in their room. Framed wall art is a beautiful way of preserving precious moments or displaying photos of loved ones or people who matter the most around the room where one spends most of their time in. so, next time you walk into a house, don’t be surprised to see a framed art of Luciano Pavarotti, the world wide renowned opera singer.

Unique Wall Art Pieces

November 26th, 2009

People always complain that they want a unique hanging wall art. What they do not know is that they can find one in their homes. They might not notice it at first but with a little imagination, they can pull it off. Using some of your home materials, you can create a truly interesting and unique wall art for your home. It can be anything. You can try out dried ingredients like tomatoes, rice and the likes. They can just mount it in a cardboard or whatever hard material you have. Afterward, you can have it framed and then hang it on the wall.

You can also collate some of the family pictures you have and make a somewhat mosaic out of it. You can make it having a scrapbook effect and then hang it on the wall afterwards. This is something very different because not everyone makes a picture having a scrapbook effect. Surely, you will have fun looking at is as you enjoyed making the image itself. Be creative and just let your creative juices flow.

Another hanging wall art you might want to consider making your very own artwork. For example, you can use some beads and ribbons and then place it in a picture that you want to personalize. You can use glue so that the materials would not go anywhere when you paste them in place. There is no right or wrong move here since you are the artisan of this project. Just try to ensure that the one you are making is clean and is not looking like a mess. People will admire you for your effort once they see this.

Vintage or antique pieces are also wonderful items that you can hang on your wall. Sometimes, even though they do not seem to have value, others are able to think of where to use them. They do not want to throw these things away because they are old and some have fun jazzing up such pieces. Creative people do not discard items because they know it will be handy when the time comes. They just want to keep everything until such time they feel that the piece is ready for use.

Thinking and making unique hanging wall art is something not everyone is good. If you know you have that gift of making interesting pieces of art, you can sell them to others. They will be happy once the things are already in their hands. People just get so ecstatic when their pieces arrive and cannot wait to use them or hang them on the walls. Finally seeing what they want most in their abode is a feeling no words can explain. They are so happy that they cannot take their eyes of this prized possession because they know that they have waited so long for it and it finally came home to them. Wall art items are not necessarily expensive ones. You just know where to look for them or how to make them to make it truly unique.

Canvas Art – Creating Impressive Piece of Wall Art

November 26th, 2009

Don’t want to stack piles of photo albums in the closet, hidden away for years? Tired of art prints that are available in your price range? It is definitely your time to look into canvas printing!

Canvas printing is a technique that imprints the photo of your choice onto a canvas, like those used in oil painting, whereby you can create art suitable for hanging on your wall. It isn’t just a matter of scanning the image into a computer, however. Most canvas artists draw your photo by hand and feed the image into a computer that is specially programmed to replicate the craftsmanship associated with a fine work of gallery art.

You can use canvas art printing services to recreate your favorite images from your collection, or choose a variety of wall art they have on hand. Make sure you have your printing provider or artisan gives permission to use their canvas art before submission. Permission from the copyright holder is usually enough to allow that work to be accepted. Chances are, you will not be able to obtain the images in popular magazines or books. If you really do not have any photos or wall art of your own, but would like to use the canvas photo process anyway, to create a piece of canvas art, there are websites where you may purchase royalty free images for a low price. Istockphoto is one example, and there are many others on the internet. The purchase price allows you to do almost anything you like, short of resale of the art.

Create an impressive piece of wall art by printing a mural, or a series of coordinating images that can be hung together, creating a glorious work of art on canvas. Themes may be created from nature, color schemes, a favorite vacation, or family snapshots. Your canvas art can be customized further, by using imprinted slogans or collage writing, and alternate images, or negatives.

Images imprinted on the canvas can recreated the clarity and sharpness of your original photo, or mimic the brushstrokes of traditional art. Single subjects really pop with the use of canvas prints, as the process adds the illusion of texture, using visual techniques. If you prefer a simpler look, some canvas artists will do line drawings, or outlines of your photo for a pop art look, or as mentioned above, make a collage.

Traditional canvas art can be extremely expensive, especially if you want a larger piece. Canvas art that comes from your pictures is cheaper, because the artist doesn’t need to spend time working on design, since one is already provided. For a minimal investment, you can combine your photo collection, and your art collection, and redecorate those bare walls.
